Location: Waconia, MN | So I feel stupid even having to ask this question but I really don't know and don't want to guess wrong. I have a Mariner Magnum 40 hp fuel injection motor. Is this a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? |

Location: Grand Marais, MN | Ya that is a 2stroke i think, dont think they made those in 4stroke. if you have to fill oil reservoir or add oil to the gas directly like on the older outboards, it is two cycle, simply put.
i talk to people all the time that really have no idea what the difference is, so I wouldn't worry about asking.

Location: Maine Township, MN | Add oil (premix or injection) = 2 stroke. Change oil like your car = 4 stroke. |
