| Does anyone have any tips on a simple inexpensive way to save digital video and photos while NOT having any access to a PC? I will be on a 10 day vacation in a remote fly-in jungle location with strict weight limits (33 pounds for everything) so bringing along a PC is not in the cards. This is a pretty much technology free location so no access to any public resources.
I hope to shoot lots of fishing video and photos everyday, (7 days fishing) and am looking for a way to store it other than buying a bunch of 64 G SDHC memory cards and using one per day.
I have searched for a device (generally seem to be called a photo bank) to do direct memory card save without a PC but with limited luck. Such devices seem to be no longer manufactured, get poor reviews, or very high dollars.
Suggestions Anyone?

Location: Wisconsin | I carry a Galaxy Tab 2 7" on the boat and while checking trail cams. I have a card reader and simply move the files onto the tablet. I picked up mine for 175.00, I am sure you can find cheaper ones used or even cheaper tablets. Card reader was like 10 bucks.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | 64 Gigs is a LOT of storage. If you are shooting in 1080, try setting at 720P, it's plenty if your intent is to edit for personal viewing and web use. A couple 64 gig cards cards should get the job done, and one 8 Gig for photos. |

Location: plant earth | X2 as said by sworrall. I think 2 of the 64 gig cards would be more than enough. A typical DVD movie is 2 to 3 gig depending on length of time. I have over 70 pics in my camera they are hd and its less than 2 gigs and its a 16 megapixel camera. |
