Can anyone recommend someone that can put a new reel seat on a rod in the Chicagoland area. I have a reaction strike rod that I bought at one of the shows for a good price. I love the rod but it was one of those with "cheap" components. The reel seat doesn't properly fit any reels and I would like to have it replaced with a Fuji seat. May not be worth it depending on cost?

Thanks,
Jaimy

Franks custom rods. (630) 309-8055. Can't say enough good things about this guy. May not be worth the price, but give it a shot.

There is also Corens rod and reel service in chicago and also heard great things about Franks custom rods as mentioned above.

Frank's rods are the best. I have three and have never had any problems.

I spoke with Franks and Corens and got good info from both, however I don't think the cost of fixing it is worth it for an inexpensive knockoff rod.

Thanks for the info,
Jaimy
