Thinking about taking a trip south this winter for a long weekend or so. Are fish in Tennessee active at this time? Any good locations or recommendations? Any info would be great!

Fishing in TN can be awesome in the winter. We get some of our biggest fish of the year in Jan. and Feb. The Rock Island area is really productive during the colder months. Check out stonesthrowadventures.com. Cory or Nick can put you on the fish.

Location: Pigeon Forge TN.
Lake Melton Hill by Oak Ridge is also productive during Winter and we have a 50 limit on it. Check with Billy Davis as he guides on Melton and knows the lake well. You can contact him at TNmuskies.org

Location: 15 miles east of Lake Kinkaid
A really good tactic would be to hire Billy Davis or Cory Allen. Tennessee river fish move as much as any muskies I have ever chased. Tracking studies show them moving miles a day during transition periods. It would be a very smart investment to hire one of these men.

I've been hanging out a little around Rock Island Tennessee, Collins River, and Great Falls Reservoir. Can't wait for the cooler weather to go back down and try to catch some muskies. This area is about 2 hours from my house and it is a really great looking area.
