| Going up to Vilas county next week too! Gonna get my deer stands together and thought I'd try to hit Vieux Desert/Palmer while I'm at it. I know it's cold, any other info would be great!

I haven't fished Oxbow before. Can you give me some tips on fishing it? Structure, temps, colors to toss and maybe a hot spot or two??[;)] Thanks!
Todd & Shep...You kill me!! I hope to bag a nice buck this year and you can be sure my nails will be perfectly manicured in the event a photo is needed...something pink"ish" for sure!![:kiss:] It will be tuff though because they usually confiscate all my "girly stuff"(perfume,lip gloss, bath gel,ect.)I guess the guys don't want me walking around the woods smelling like a girl! Though I'm pretty sure no deer up there has wiffed a hunter that smelled like Obsession before...
I'll let you know how I do in the UP this season!

| Well I never said no to a girl before, so I'll give away some info on Ox. Had good luck 25ft down over 30+ with suckers 2 weeks ago. Water should be about 38-40deg. What few weeds there are were looking real tempting to (position fish)a sucker along, but the rock piles in the middle of the lake seems to be where I end up. Also vert. jig large rubber minnow baits(castaic baits) along the rock edges. |
