| So I have been working the past few weeks in making a few of the Alabama rigs for my bass season this year. But why not just a heavier gauge wire, heavier swivels and a little longer length for the bigger swim baits and build a few for my musky trip in late June ? I am thinking 6" swim baits on 5-0 or 6-0 hooks. If you stay away from jig heads and do a good job of aligning the baits on the hook the total weight of the rig should be well within reason. Has anybody experimented ?
Thoughts ?

Location: c.wis | depending on the state you live in, mods. might have to be made (ex:adding a spinner blade to make it all one lure?), pr just one bait rigged. ive been playing with spreader bars for saltwater apps, but again not sure if its legal, they look cool though |

| Meat and Potatoes has a schooler rig in a 3 and 5 wire model. The guys on green river are doing well with it. Using it as around a 5 oz. bait casting. |

| There have been some muskies caught here in NC on the regular Alabama rig. The item that gives trouble is only the hook. Just need a stout hook or stronger jig. Every thing else seems to be holding up well. Musky Glenn |
