Hats off to Tackle Industries and the products. emailed TI a few weeks ago as I needed a rod fast for a trip south. TI got back to me and got a rod shipped the same day so I could get my rod for the trip. Only references I had for this rod was other guys talking about them on the internet. To say I was pleased with the rod was an understatement! What a rod for looks, feel and quality. I bought this rod as a backup for my trip and ended up using it 80% of the time. My main rod is a high end Thorne Bros Predator and the TI rod was more sensitive and much more forgiving over a 10 hour day. My new TI XH rod threw everything like a dream from Cowgirls to big Mag SuperDs. Thanks for making such quality products for reasonable prices TI!

No problem Tommy! Once I get a few more retailers setup for my rods you will be able to just buy one on the way to your next trip Thanks again Tommy and I hope you had a good trip.
James

Just an FYI but here are my current retailers for my rods in case you are near one and want to pick one up:
Big Wood Lures
Cave Run Musky Shop
Flambeau River Outfiters
Michigan Muskie Shop
Musky Tackle Online
Ross's Sports Shop

More coming soon!!! I am working with a Canadian retailer now to get rods into Canada and I think he will ship within Canada too!!! More to come on this one. Also working with a few European retailers to get them across the pond right now. Sending details to one today on mass shipping rods over. More to come on that one soon too.

James, that's great news about the Canadian retailer. I'm in for two or three if it/when it happens. I've been waiting a loooong time for this to occur.

I have no problem paying for the shipping within Canada through UPS or another shipper, and that's no cost to the retailer. I just want to get my hands on your new 9 footers.

Hey Allen, Just found this shipping site. Looks like eBay, Amazon, etc are linked up with it. From what I read it appears the customer sets up the shipping from their site to your address (international shipping). They must have a lot of people use it because the rates are phenomenal for international shipping. I was not impressed by the lack of a phone number but I emailed a few questions and I was impressed with the reply time of about 30 minutes to 2 hours. Personally I like to setup all shipping for my customers but in this case the cost saving makes it worth it for the customer to setup the shipping. Just a side idea for you to get rods into Canada. I do have a customer from Italy doing this now for an order. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

You can check the rates to international shipping addresses here. Just plug in 5lbs (2.3Kg) for a Tackle Industries fishing rod. Hope this helps some others looking to get USA tackle too. I am sure other retailers/manufacturers would ship this way.

If you are shipping long items it is a good idea to get the Dimensional weight for the shipment too. Here is the FedEx Dimensional weight calculator.

FYI-My rod tubes for my 9' solid rods are 108"x3"x3" and I can ship two rods per tube. My telescopic 9' rods are 92"x3"x3"...
