I am looking to buy some 6" grandma crankbaits. On the Grandma Lure website they show 84 colors of cranks. I have looked at all the big name musky tackle shops and they only carry 15-20 colors and none of the colors that I am looking for. I tried special ordering from on of the tackle shops and it took well over a month and when I got the cranks they were the wrong models and the wrong colors. After that I email other tackles shops and they told me the same thing would happen if they were to try and special order anything from Grandma Lures including a wait time of 8 weeks. My question is does anyone know how I can get the colors that I want in a reasonable amount of time? Is there a tackle shop that carries all of their colors? Is there a tackle shop that has a really good rapport with Grandma lures to get exactly what they order?

I realize that it is impossible for a tackle shop to carry all 84 colors but since I can't order from their website, Grandma does not return my emails, or pick up the phone. I am finding it really difficult to acquire these crankbaits.

Thank you
Jeff Hanson

Thats why I quit using them. I swiched to MX6's from Muskie Train they have similar action (Better IMO) all baits handmade in Ohio. They will paint any color or pattern you want. They also have a ton to chose from on website also. I have caught fish up to 53.5" on them. They are great for casting or trolling. Mike and Trent are great people to work with.

Maybe try calling The Sportsman in Appleton WI. I know they stock a bunch of colors and even have some customs in the shop. I know they order from Grandma pretty regularly. Good luck

+1 for MuskieTrain Lures

I've got a couple of their crankbaits and they're extremely well-built. Awesome paintjobs, great heaby-duty clearcoat and as mentioned - their customer service is top notch.

Sorry you're having issues getting in touch with the folks at Granda Lures. It's definitely a pet peeve of mine to see a company offer contacts via e-mail, telephone, Twitter and Facebook and NOT use them at all. I won't name any names but I tried to get ahold of a large fishing manufacturer just a few weeks ago. I left two voicemails, sent four e-mails and two messages via FaceBook. After five (yes, 5 days!) - I finally got an e-mail. Think they got my business? ...yeah, right!
