Location: New Jersey | When i put grease in one side of my trailer, the grease slowly comes back out of the hole in the grease fitting. Is the seal blown or did i just over grease her?
Thanks, Rob |

| If I understand you correctly, the grease shouldn't be coming back out the grease-zerk fitting. A zerk has a spring and ball in that compresses when the grease gun's pressure overrides the zerk's spring pressure, and temporarily pushes the ball down far enough to allow grease to go by. When the grease gun is removed the spring should re-seat the ball at the opening of the zerk to prevent either grease from escaping or foreign material from entering the zerk. (water, dirt, etc.)
You don't have to replace the entire Bearing Buddy. Go to your local hardware store and get a replacement zerk fitting with 1/4"-28 threads, or whatever yours is.

Location: VA | Like guest said, the grease fitting in the bearing buddy has failed. Replace the grease fitting only and you'll be fine.

Location: New Jersey | Is there a special tool to remove the fitting, or do i just grab it with a pair of pliers and back it out.
Also, i assume alot of grease is going to come pouring out, is there a smarter way to do this? I dont want to take the whole bearing buddy off, so i guess i have no choice.
Thanks, rob |
