Location: North East PA , 20 mins from Chautauqua | I throw chop baits about 80% of my time on the water and as I fish my line soaks my reel and it drips onto the front of my pants becouse I jerk across my body and it looks like I wet myself ! If I go anywhere directy after fishing I get some odd looks from people . Worst yet in the cold water in late season thats not a place I need water to gather and freeze BURR ! ! Is there a way I can waterproof my braided line so I don't soak up as much water possibly with silicone spray or mybe even something like fly floatant . I have actully thought of making some type of apron to gather the water and redirect the water off to the side of my body ?

Location: Pewaukee, WI | Why not consider using a line that does not soak up a lot of water (i.e. Spider Wire Stealth)? It's a great line and the best I've found to date that soaks up very little water. A real plus when fishing in colder weather. |
