I am planning on getting one to throw double 10s primarily. Which rod do you like and why?

I threw them some on my 9' XH, I liked it. Not what I got the rod for but seems to work great.

I seen those rods too. I'm also interested in feed back on the rods.

Can you throw pounders and mega d's with the XH or would be advised to step up to the XXH?

*I don't do pounders but do thow alot of the 13oz Curlie Sues with mine and this rod makes it easy to thow the Sues all day without the fatigue I had in an hour with my Muskie Innovations rod. I'm sure James can steer you to the right rod for use with the pounders.

I bought both the 9' mega D rod and the 9' super D rod last fall. I do not have as much time on them that I would like yet, but so far I really like the 9' super D rod. I use the rod with a left hand Avet MXL. I can burn in double 10s and 12s with ease. It is my favorite rod so far for this purpose. I tried tossing double 10s with the Mega D rod, but I seemed to lose some casting distance and get more backlashes. The Super D rod was a perfect balance for distance and yet stiffness in the 8. I use the Mega D rod for super D's/bulldawgs and also throw some pounders with it.

Hopefully the rods do well for me this coming season. I suspect they will.

Hope that info helps.

Jeff

Jeff,

Thanks for the tip. I bought the 8'6"/9" XH rod and got it today via Fed Ex. I am going to go cast double 10s in the local creek this weekend because I think I am really going to like that rod.
