Do you need larger screw eyes, on smaller baits? I know that bigger the better, but can I use .072 eyes, instead of .092. The baits are 5 inches in size, I haven't put any weight in them yet, so I don't know what their going to be. Wood is maple. Thanks Doug

Sure. I can tow my truck with the 092. The 072 takes a lot of weight to pull the eye straight too. I did it once and it was all my weight and bouncing a little to get it to bend. Make sure you epoxy cement them into the baits too. For me its more of a "look" on the baits and confidence for my customers. I also do not use anything less than 1.5" in length but its the first 0.25" that is doing all the work on a screw eye unless you get some wood rot and then you may wish you had a little longer screw eyes. Thanks guys. I've got a bunch of .072, that I'd like to get rid of, and not many .092s. I with thinking, maybe use the .072 for the hooks. Thanks again Doug
