So I had the lip come out of probably favorite lure, my 8" Jake. I was just wondering if there is anywhere that you could get a replacement lip for it, or am I just stuck buying a new lure?

Hard to do but it can be done. Trim off everything up to the body, then with a table saw cut a new lip slot adn replace with a lexan lip. Or, buy a used one off of eBay and repaint it

I don't see many of those on eBay though... Might also try the buy sell board here and put a request in or just go to Musky Tackle Online or Rollie and Helen's and buy the new one.

call or email drifter tackle, they'll probably send you out a handful of plastic lips. A few years back I hard some 6" baits that the lip fell out. They sent me new ones right away. I buy more of their lures because they stand behind their products like that.

The lip on mine actually call all the way out of the slot on the lure, just like it came unglued from the body. I think i've found one, but if not I may try to contact drifter. Thanks guys.
