Location: Bloomington, IL | Hi Guys!
I'm leaving on Friday to head to Iron County to fish a couple of lakes up there (WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I've been waiting all season for this trip!). I was wondering if the water temps are doing what they are supposed to be doing for this time of year, and if topwater should still be the main go-to bait? Or if things have changed at all?
We are going to be hitting Island Lake, Moose Lake, and then the day of the full moon either Pine Lake, Mercer Lake, or the Gile Flowage....haven't decided yet.
Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated!
Thanks!!

| Mercer area water temps were hitting 72 by mid afternoon up from 68 in the morning probably 64 to 70 by now, Gile flowage maybe low though as its getting a little dry up there we caught 2 fish on bucktails at sundown but the year as a whole has been a little tough. |

Andy is a guide around the Mercer area and the musky reports section could be beneficial to you as far as current patterns and hot baits.
