| I have an 80lb maxum on a 1750 fishhawk, when using the trolling motor, there seems to be quite a bit of movement on the trolling motor base. I have tightened it but seems to work loose quite quickly. This is a new trolling motor, put on a boat that originally didn't have one on it. Is this normal or are there different bolts or rubber bushings I should be using. Any help appreciated!! |

Location: Hayward, WI | I have always just used regular stainless bolts with the biggest washers I can use and the locknuts with the plastic insert. I've never had them come loose. How many bolts are you bolting it on with? I have usually only been able to get the 4 middle bolts to work, but that has been enough for me.

Location: Madison Wi. Chain | Make sure to use rubber washers as they will absorb much of the vibration that seems to create the looseness. BG |

| Silly question maybe, but would those rubber washers go between the plate and the top of the deck? |

| There are rubber tubes that when you put the bolt through and tighten they flatten out some to hold tight. Would anyone reccomend using a flat rubber washer then actually putting a nut on there as well? |
