Posts: 207 Location: Mpls, MN | anyone have a mod to increase hooking up on short strikes? Not sure if muskies or a pike did it but missed two this weekend but like the lure a lot. mike Edited by mm12463 9/17/2007 2:58 PM Attachments ---------------- suzy.jpg (14KB - 97 downloads)

Posts: 1348 Location: Pewaukee, WI | You need to rig a small trailer treble to a wire shaft with a loop on both ends and secure it to the end split ring on the body of the bait. Then insert one of the barbs into the body near the end of the paddle tail leaving two of the other barbs exposed. This method will not impeed the paddle tail action at all. Try it, it works!

Posts: 20211 Location: oswego, il | Not a suzy sucker but a shack attack bait with external rigging. I went 2 for 6 on the old rigging, used this and went 6 for my next 7 on the same bait. They do hold up well. Attachments ---------------- 102806 016.jpg (35KB - 85 downloads) 102806 015.jpg (41KB - 97 downloads)

Posts: 207 Location: Mpls, MN | Okay used some real wire rather then the leader wire. Tail seems to move fine. Test it this weekend maybe and see. Attachments ---------------- mod.jpg (52KB - 103 downloads)
