A guy gave me a few dancin raiders about a month or so ago. I have thrown them a few times and it appears that they walk the dog pretty well. However, I have little confidence in the lure being that I have not had action and do not recall hearing any success stories. Any thoughts on the dancin raider? Do I need to be more patient now that topwater should be picking up or am I wasting my time throwing them instead of another topwater?

I like the Dancin Raider under calm conditions, but when things start getting choppy there are much better choices. That said, I've had some pretty serious blowups on the DR, and have no doubt they will catch fish.

I think just about any other walk the dog top water bait it better than the dancin raider. Doc's, Jackpots, Weagles, and I bet even the Salmo brand of walk the dog type bait is better. I've been more and more discouraged with Bucher products in whole the last couple of years. Depth raiders, shallow raiders, top raiders, and spinnerbaits are great, but everything else is getting pretty hoky.

First time I threw this bait, jerked it a couple time, said I didn't like it and started burning it in, and yes a musky blew up.... Never had anymore luck on it.....

they work....just use it at the right time/place...
I like them in darker waters with the rattle in it over clear water...

a note on the salmo wtd bait .... "even the salmo" suggests it's inferior? give that bait a try and you might be surprised ... it gets a ton of water time out of my boat ... the black cherry color is extremely visible at dark and needs very little light to be seen when you are retrieving ... also pushes a little more water than a jackpot and is a good cover lots of water bait.

looks different for sure, but works great ...
