For those of you guys that want to get the itch going the muskies are in at the Lake Wingra Dam in Madison. I counted 25 in the 15 minutes I was there including one pretty decent tiger. Three attempted the jump but all came up short.

Shane........Thanks for the heads up! The skies took us by surprize this year...with the very warm weather the past few days the fish started running a bout a week or 10 days early this year.

I was at the spillway this afternoon and saw 3 skis from 40-43" cruising just below the dam. One spectator got a little too excited by the action and stepped into the spillway and sat on the wall of the dam with his camera a few inches away from the skis in the water. This is a posted fish sanctuary till May 15th. Within 5 minutes Madison Officer Dexheimer and DNR warden Dave Wood ordered the guy off the dam.

Friday Wood advised that another warden caught a guy fishing with suckers just below the spillway and the guy got two tickets......out of season fishing and fishing in a sanctuary.

If any of you see people in there fishing or harasssing the fish please call Madison PD or DNR. You can also advise the violators to get out of the area. Most will knock it off when they know someone is watching them.

Thanks for the pics. Those are really cool. I wouldn't get anything done with the bait company if I had that to look at.

Yea, if that was close by I would lose my job because I would go there at lunch and not come back. That is awesome . . . .and there is a platform to watch as well. We need a web cam of that thing . . . . . .
