| Wondering if anyone can tell me how these two blanks compare, aside from length. I would be going the custom route anyway so length does matter. They are both marketed as sticks for big rubber, but the xxxh seems to be getting a lot more attention. |

| Oops, I meant length DOESN'T matter. I'll have a custom built between 8 & 8-6.
Thanks.

| Oh and one last thing, how do each of those blanks compare to the 8' heavy avid? I already have one of those but it would be nice for comparison purposes. D@mn wish I would have made it to the blaine show this weekend. |

| This is no comparison between these two blanks. It would be like comparing a car to a truck. The XXXH blank is the best big bait blank I have seen this year but it is really designed for just big baits...my opinion.
The tournament blank is a blank that could throw anything beside the huge baits. Tournament is a nice all around stick as long as you do not throw pounders or two pounders.

| Thanks Keith, you're one of the guys I really was hoping to hear from. Would you say the xxxh is too much rod for a mag dawg? |

| I would say the mag dawg would be one of the smaller baits for it (6 ounces.) I think it would be "ok" for that lure and really good for anything that is heavier then that. It is the best big bait blank I have seen to this point.
I have said it has a soft tip for a blank that can lift that much weight...I hope I have not confused folks into thinking it has a soft tip when compared to a typical stick like the Diamondback or the Tournament blank.
