Location: MPLS, MN | I'm looking to pick up a new book or 2 on Muskies. My favorites as of now I've read are Secrets of a Muskie Guide 2 by Tony Rizzo and Muskies on the Shield by Dick Pearson. Any suggestions on other good ones? |

Location: Madison Wi. Chain | Just got done reading The big fat musky book by Eli singer. Good read with a wide variety of interviews with people from the musky world. Not a how to book, but many good stories of large fish caught and lost. Gives one a historical picture of musky fishing as well. BG |

Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | Tony,s Book "The Suspended Summer Muskie" is a valuable tool and a must read. In the 1960s.The "Godfather" of structure fishing Buck Perry changed the fishing world with his writings regarding how fish relate to the thermocline and structural elements associated to it. Tony's book explained and clarified Bucks's work as it related to muskies.Starting with that book and then using the many later articles printed in Musky Hunter Mag. will give you a pretty good education . |

| If you're looking for a non-instructional but fun read try "Time On The Water" by Bill Gardener. The man took off 200 days from work and moved to northern Wisconsin just to fish muskies in 1980. His goal was to catch a fish that would make the top ten in the Vilas County Musky Marathon. This is a day by day account of what happened. Very enjoyable reading. |

| I have read almost all books pertaining to muskies and one of my favorites is Muskys-Maina Style. It is a book put out by Fishing Hot Spots that has a lot of usefull info in it. Pete Maina talks a lot about many different musky tactics and tools. It also has some maps in it and Pete devulges some lake specific info that is hard to come by. A must read IMHO. Great for a beginer and the hard-cores.
