Location: Minneconia | Headed to Crow this season for a week, can't decide what time of year to go, early summer, summer peak, late summer, or fall. Definitely want to cast, I've been thinking early July. Thoughts or advice? RPieske? Thanks in advance. |

Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | Crow Lake can be feast or famine. The last 3-4 years have been good. My son actually fishes Crow more than I do. He has done exceptionally well there. He prefers the week after opener through the first week in July. His favorite bait for Crow is a smaller bucktail and white split tail grub trailer. Muskies can be caught all year on Crow and big ones are taken regularly. Send me an email if you want more info. It may take a while for me to reply since it's Christmas and two days after it's off to Florida for the winter. Once I get down there I'll be back on line. Enjoy the Holiday Season.

| Have to agree, opener or 1-2 weeks after. There is plenty of big post-spawn fish that are catchable! |

| Opener can be good--it just depends on if it has been a warm or cold spring leading up to the opener. Last year was very good. We actually do better around the full moon in late July or early August. Again, it depends on weather, but this has been a much more consistent bite and the fish average much nicer. If you are interested, we are doing an outing through the store up at Muskie Bay Resort in August. You can find more details at http://www.thornebros.com/events/moonlightouting2006.html
When we get closer to the outing, we'll have to set up a 'social' night and get everyone (like rpieske) over for a burger and a beer.

| hey Dirt, we are booked july 10-15 on Crow to straddle the full moon. We did ok last year for our first time there, we should be able to do better this year. Spots seems to be everywhere, but what you have for them to bite on seems to be the trick. Our fish all came on baits 12" and larger. What a beautiful lake to fish. Good luck |
