M1sters:

Since it's likely (Steve, go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong) there won't be a Sab Bay M1st outing next year, I would like to extend an invitation to all those wanting to fish Sab Bay to join a small group of us at Red Wing Lodge mid-late July 2006. I would like to make it like a mini outing. I plan to purchase an extra map and use a pin system where people can place pins on spots (follows and fish caught would be different colors) and have a round table discussion at the end of each day about what worked and what didn't, hopefully to help everyone develop patterns. As many of you may know, Red Wing is very close to Sab Bay Lodge, and in the heart of GREAT fishing.

This is open to everyone, beginners and veterans alike! Please email me for further questions or if you are seriously interested: [email protected]. I would like to book it by the Chicago Tri Esox show at the LATEST.

Red Wing Lodge is a great place to stay, centered in the part of Sabaskong I really like. Mike and his better half and crew will take very good care of you, and the price is right, too. I'd go, but the trip to the Goon will be the week before, so this one's out for me.

You should really check out what Mylie's has to offer before you decide on anything. They are the best kept secret in Sabaskong. I stayed there in '05 after having stayed at other resorts in the area in previous years. I can't believe it took me so long to stop over there and meet the operators. Location, rates, , lodging, docks, facilities are some of the best I've seen anywhere. All housekeeping though so if you don't want to cook, it might not work for you. Have to book real early though, they do fill up quickly. I made my reservation for '06 when I left this year.

Why no formal Sabaskong bay trip? I have never been able to attend that trip since I am at my first week back with Teacher workshops, but would have liked to go.

Also, if there was any way you could make it the first week in August, I would definitely go....The lab would be with, but an open seat would be available.

Exox50: any more talk about this? How close are you to locking a specific week in?

I'd like to call Mike at Red Wing soon. Hopefully, we can still get a cabin in that two week time frame in July. If anyone would like to join us, this is LAST CALL. PM or email me at [email protected].
