Location: Des Moines IA | I am thinking about adding boards to my trolling rig. Which boards do you use? Mono or braided? Looking to troll very big baits. I don't think the yellow off shore boards will handle the BIG baits? Anybody troll Big baits with the little yellow boards? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Off Shore or Roach boards will pull full sized muskie lures OK, Yellow Birds will pull smaller baits with no problem. You will probably have to put heavier clips on the boars so they don't pop loose. I use superlines when I DO troll, which is rare because I live in N Wisconsin.

| If you're going to be using big musky baits, a mast system is your option. I've used this system and always have a depthraider or a believer out on a board. The most important aspect about a mast system = clips. You want to use OR-19 clips for these big baits. They not only give you a great spread, but let you fight the fish independently from the system. Any questions give me a call-Todd Kotarski 630-244-0358 |

Location: Des Moines IA | Thanks guys, I was planning on going with the offshore set up, figured I might the bigger clips. I was also kind of wondering if anybody use boards with BIG BAITS like Frany's or Talonz or Wishmasters? I assume they too much resistance to use a board system with clips though?? |
