| i've got an 8'hf thorne custom avid, a 7'6 mhf avid and a 7'mhf premier. i know i don't NEED a new rod but would still like a new toy. what would you guys get if you had these rods?  |

Location: Germantown, WI | I'd probably get a heavy 6'9" of your choice for jerkbaits and ripping cranks. I have an Avid I'm pretty partial to. Lots of good ones. |

| I'd go with the 6'9" Avid too. It's the rod that I go to when I'm throwing big gliders, and that time of year is coming up in a hurry.

| It depends on what boat you are fishing out of. I don't use anything below 7'3" out of my ranger. Just too short. Figure eights are a pain in the butt. The other rod besides the ones you have that I use is a 7'3" jerkbait rod for bulldawgs and pretty much anything in the fall. The one I have is a diamondback Thorne bros rod. A little more money, but lighter than any other blank so you don't get tired as fast throwing big baits all day. Billy is the one in charge of rods over at Thornes. Call him and ask him what he thinks. He knows more than you and I. He can break you down to the specifics of what you need for a specific application.

i am set on the 7'6'' heavy avid to do the job. i am a fan of the bigger rods as well. i will get the rod custom @thorne bros, luke and matt said they would help too. ty give my phone a ring when you get some time to talk aboout lukes bach. party.
