| Heading up to the the NW Angle this summer - our trip officially starts on Saturday, however, we typically like to head up the day before and spend the night so we are all fresh and ready to attack the following day - any suggestions for lodging in WarRoad area or lodges - hotels that might be the way to go - any input is appreciated |

Location: minocqua, wi. | i like the CanAm in Warroad. it's walking distance from a bar if you want a pop and close to the grocery stores for stocking. rates are reasonable and the rooms are clean. also, the breakfast at the patch is good, but you can also find a good breakfast out by the casino and campground by the lake just north of downtown. the phone number for the CanAm is 218.386.3807 |

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | I go up there as well, but knock off at Baudette. Stay at the Royal Dutchman just a mile or so east of Baudette. $47.50 a night for a room with 2 beds. Just a nice, clean place to lay my head and charge the boat batteries. 45 minutes from Warroad and another hour and a half from the "Angle" if my timing serves me right. My daughter and I have reservations already for July 8th. At Youngs Bay Resort from July 9-16.
Now just patiently waiting for the time to come.
If you are interested, the number for the RD is 1-800-908-1024.

Location: Madison, WI | The Royal Dutchman is affordable and nice, I've stayed there before. Can't beat the location of the CanAm. Great recommendations.
The past few years we have been splitting up the drive and staying at the Saw Mill Inn in Grand Rapids. Nice restaurant & bar. Time it so you pull into your NW Angle resort at check in and hit the water for the afternoon bite!
I'll be up in July, counting the days, hours and minutes |
