I know this is a stupid questions but i was wondering about the line color debate. What color line do any of the pros use white or green? I think white is a good color for your topwater lures and bucktails it makes sense since muskies look up not so sure about jerks and cranks so do any of you pros have any input on this? THanks JD

jdesox, I'm not sure about the other guys but I think line color is a lot like lure color in that you should use what you have the most confidence in.

I use T.U.F. which is a salt-n-pepper type. I have caught fish in all water types using all types of lures.

I figure a large chunk of plastic or wood with hooks flying all over is far more odd and invasive than a thin line in the water regardless of color. That lure will get far more attention than the line.

Use what you like,

JD & Jono

I use T.U.F. as well and have the same feelings. A bucktail looks so much like???? The line must look like??? Would love to see one of the line makers give me a spool of Blaze orange line and see if it made any difference.

JD,

I have been using 80lb Power Pro for the last three seasons. It is by far the best line I have ever used. It is green in color. I use it for everything from - light twitch baits, heavy jerkbaits to trolling.

Confidence is the big key. When you have a 50+" fish on the end of your line, it isn't the time to wish you had spent the extra bucks on some top quality line.

Best of Luck!

I use green Power Pro and black Cortland Musky Master. I don't believe line colour makes ANY difference. If they aren't scared by a motor, a boat, or a heavy leader - why should the fish care what colour line you spool with?

If they decide they want it, it's history!
