I was wondering if i could get some opinions from those of you who have fished these 2lakes. i may have some time in mid august to fish these for a few days and would like some input. also, looks like on map this is part of chip flowage, is that correct? can i navigate my boat to moose lake and then down to chip lake as well?? if so, how long of boat ride is it from teal to moose and then moose to lake chip? is it tough to navigate down this river? Any tips/suggestions would appreciated, Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have not fished these lakes, but I can tell you that they are not part of the chip. To access the Chip, I suggest the boat launch near Hearmans. I would also not suggest navagating from Moose even if possible. The best way to access both lakes is via the Lost Lake boat launch and then take the river between the two lakes to get to Teal. I would not suggest the boat launch off of 77 into the river, it is a danger zone from what I have been told.

I'd say let dward go for it. I hope your boat can travel over rocks as its real skinny water between moose, chip, & LL & Teal and throw in a couple of dams to boot. But if you take a run at it...................

Seriously, the two lakes, LL & Teal are stand alone lakes, but you can travel between the two. They have great looking cabbage beds and have a 10MPH speed limit. Its a great place to relax and fish. No (or very few plus 50") monsters in the lake, but a good population of fish. I have only fished a couple of times and would love to spend a week on it sometime.

Hope this helps.

Fished LLL and Teal this past fall for the first time. Nice lakes with lots of #'s but like Nut said, no monsters. Although there was a 46"er caught while I was there, most of the fish are smaller. Probably saw 20 fish a day with one or two pushing 40". I saw better fish on some of the surrounding lakes in less time I spent on LLL and Teal but they are good numbers lakes. Be carefull at the entrance of the channel from LLL to Teal. Some rocks there that extend out into the bay.

Lost land is mostly a weed related bite while teal is weed and rock. Bonus pike and they are getting decent size and there are some brutal trophy smallies in the lake. The sturgeon can scare the poop out of you as they can reach 200 pounds! Teal is a very pretty lake to be on. We stay at back o beyond resort, great peope.
