| What are your favorite 2 one week periods of the musky season?
For me it is the 2nd week of July. I always contact my first numbers of big fish at this time in MN. Seems to be a short frenzy of feeding activity after the spawn and recupertation has taken place.
The first week of September. Water starts to cool and fish put the feed bag on for fall. I think this is the best topwater bite of the season. I am already looking forward to this topwater bite. Fish are shallow and feeding, what more can you ask for.
I'm sure things are different with other parts of the country and the skew in seasons. What do you like and why?

Location: Clintonville, WI | Assuming I'm fishing the upper midwest U.S. (the one trip I had north of the border, a second week of July trip to LOTW, was outstanding and skews my thoughts).....I would choose the 1st week in September and 3rd week in October.
Same basic reasons as Waldera for September and October has been great casting and with suckers. Weather has been tolerable at worst during these times also. |
