I just picked these up yesterday. They are from JugHead lures (made from recycled milk jugs, thus the name). He makes crankbaits, jerkbaits and glide baits that I know of, I wish I had some of those jointed st. clair baits I seen!

I have made baits from this material in the past as well. It has many advantages over wood, consistency, no concern of water swelling, etc. With the cost of wood getting as high as it is this product will likely have a future in lure building.

Nice find Todd, are those blanks cast or cut from a solid piece? Are they heavy? Is there a special paint to use to make it stick? Are these production lures or more "boutique" baits? Tell me more.

Capt Bigfish, the guy who makes them is Dave Petschke. They are extruded as I understand it. His wifes side of the family makes lawn furniture from the milk jugs so he started making lures. They are not heavy and they do float. Not sure about the paint but they trolled well for me today. Dave's e-mail is [email protected]

Jake, you an MI member? Dude, you need to join the plano chapter. It's close for you, that is where Dave is a member. I go there too and hang out even though I belong to another chapter.
