| I am looking to buy a G. Loomis Muskie MUR914C-MB Rod, 7'7" medium, 17-40lb, 1-3oz. I want this rod to throw topwaters such as salmmer thunderheads(1 3/4 oz), top raiders(1 3/4 oz), and musky busters(2 oz). Before I purchase the rod I would like to know if this rod will handle these baits. If any of you guys have this rod or know anything about it I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks,
D |

Location: Rockford Il 61108 | Yes, these G loomis rods are one of the best. You probably figured that out with the price. With the longer length you will have some accuracy and ease of casting. Match this with some 50pd power pro line or 65pd test. Good Luck |

| If you decide to go with the heavier action G-Loomis, I have one that's like new for sale or trade on the board. It's an awesome stick for throwing topwaters. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I currently have this very rod for sale. Make me an offer and we will see what can be done. My rod has been used very little as I use my Sages and Diamondbacks most of the time. Let me know soon here or e mail [email protected] |

| Go with the 915 and you can throw those baits and a lot more.I sold mine awhile ago but that is the best in the series IMHO. Steve |
