Location: Madison, WI | I am taking the family for an extended Memorial Day weekend to Eagle River. Since season does not open until Saturday, I was thinking about finding a lake that has lots of snakes in it. Can any point me to such a lake? If possible, please do not recommend a lake with any Muskies in it as I will be using my usual muskie gear with downsized baits. I don't want to get into that mess.
Thanks Peter

Location: Pound, WI | I have heard that Sealion over by Florence is good, too. I have never fished it though.

Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | A great pike fishery is Post Lakes with pike of all sizes and some real bruisers. It's a ways from Eagle River though. Worth the trip to Langlade county though, it does contain a few muskies as well. Not a better pike fishery in the north country though!! Dave J |
