I heard one was pulled out of Lake Michigan recently that significantly surpasses the current state record.

Any word on that?

That is all the info I have, I'm out in farmland, farmer came in my work all excited after talking to dnr employee while getting a deer permit. Apparently there is a photo. Ill call dnr tomorrow morning.

If these fish take off in the big lake, you can kiss inland fishing records goodbye. IL will have to seperate inland/big water records. Smallmouth record has and will come only from there now.

Walleye record is in real danger too...

Ill get back asap with any info, even if it turns out to be BS.

Still nothing though a 57 was caught trolling GB WI today.

IL DNR closed for the holiday. Of course.
I will follow up on this. Hoping it's not true for reasons previously stated.
