| Not to wreck the other thread i'll ask here........who here is under 30 years old? Anybody under 20?
For those under 30 at what age did you start Muskie fishing?

| 32, Southeast Pennsylvania - this hobby started for me about three years ago when a low 40" came up to my feet in waist deep water throwing a buzzbait for smallmouth.
I almost exclusively wade fish the nearby rivers. My local river has extremely skittish muskie; I have more fish landed than fish that follow. The normal behavior is a lighting fast look at the bait and then disappearing. It's a good day when that happens, for perspective. It also made learning their patterns rather difficult.
There's no closed season down here, I will fish heavily from late September through March. Spring is very brief window, I have yet to dial that in. By June the water is usually 75F at which point I stop.

| 23 and located in Minneapolis, MN. I grew up fishing pike and have explored almost every trophy pike water Minnesota has to offer; Mille Lacs, Vermillion, Rainy, LOTW, etc. Started getting sick of stunted fish from under regulation by the MN DNR so I switched to chasing muskie with my dad in 2021 during Covid. Mainly fish Minnetonka and Cedar near Mille Lacs now. But once a year will take a big trip to Canada to "get my fix." I'm always looking for people in their 20's interested in Muskies or Pike since I usually have an open spot on the boat! |

Location: Lower Peninsula | 26 from Michigan. I am actually moving to Minneapolis soon.
I am on my second boat not counting my paddleboard and my kayak. I have gotten several people their first musky and know plenty of young people into fishing in a more than “bobber and worm” way.
Spent most of the last week fishing half days on st Clair while I am on vacation. I agree it is very expensive, I spend a lot on gas, boat and upgrades was a big investment, and before my boat I bought a lot of rods/reel/tackle which have served me well. Money well spent - there is so many dumber hobbies out there people pour money into.
