A friend of mine just came back from up there and there were warning signs posted. He seen a bunch of fish that looked like they had it. The lakes he was fishing are not stocked. I hope it doesn't have a drastic impact on the fish population. It's already changed his mind about buying a cabin up there.

Yes, please elaborate ToddM. I cannot find any new information with regards to VHS either, but not sure which "Northwoods" you are referring to.

Fisheries come and go, at one time we had a world class Tiger Muskie fishery here in Colorado some of the key people in the Division Of Wildlife Retired and the at the same the VHS got going so they would not import True Muskies from Pennsylvania to go with the Northerns we have here in Colorado so they stopped stocking Tigers. Then they backed off stocking except for Sucker control. VHS was a complete disaster for Colorado Tiger Muskie fishery. It's good to keep a eye on it, once the genie out of the bottle no putting back in. Just a cautionary tale.
