| I know you constantly hear that the 500 tranx is the ultimate reel, but they don't come in a lefty and I prefer to have that. Has anyone heard if they plan on making a lefty? With the new reels that have come out and with past experiences from using other reels, which reels stand up well to this application? I will be putting it on a chaos s&a, probably with 100lb. Thanks
Also; how long of pulls do yinz usually make with rubber? I've been trying 1-2ft pulls all the way up to pointing the rod at the bait and lifting to 11-12 o'clock. I haven't actually seen a musky even following any rubber that I've tossed yet. That's why I wondering if im doing too much movement with the bait.. again thanks |

| I have a Lexa HD-400, left handed reel, in the 7.1 ratio I use for big rubber, 38 inches line retrieve. Has a big, soft power handle knob.
Works well, first season with it so I can't speak to longevity. |

This is what I have on my xh rod now. They are nice reels, I picked it up last summer. I was looking at the new lexa tw for lighter weight. What weight baits have you tossed with it so far? I have tossed up to 9oz mag Dawgs due to the rod not the reel. |

Mag Dawgs are the biggest baits I have thrown. I have it on a 9' XXH rod, so I guess I had an interest, I could throw larger. |

With my 9'6" rod I'm ripping pounders 3-5 feet at a time and I rip them hard depending on the time of year. Give them a good pause now and then and always be ready to set the hook really hard. |

With my 9'6" rod I'm ripping pounders 3-5 feet at a time and I rip them hard depending on the time of year. Give them a good pause now and then and always be ready to set the hook really hard.
I pretty much figured that about the baits just wanted to make sure. I just bought 5 new rubber baits, 2 shallow mid medusas, 2 shallow mag Dawgs, and a shallow mag swimming dawg. I took them all out tonight and gave them a drink.. I like all of them, the shallow mag Dawgs are interesting in how at the end of a rip the head rises and the butt sinks like it slams on the breaks lol but they do run higher up in the water which is what I wanted. Unfortunately for me fishing from the bank their is only a few spots I can toss heavier/sinking baits without absolutely burning them, ive also been pausing a little out over open water but then have to get them back up over the dropoffs so I don't hang up. I need to explore some new water throughout the rest of this year, Unfortunately around here the river i fish has been high since like April/May. |
