Posts: 189 Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | I'm headed back to the Northern Indiana lakes for my last fishing of the season, and had noitce that the day I'm going to get there is supposed to be exactly 30 degrees colder than the day before(60 to 30).....just wondering what I should expect as far as the fishing goes. Seems to me temp drops have been good this fall....but looking for advice Edited by muskiefishman 11/22/2003 12:23 PM

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | was good for me today. I had slow action on thursday when the temp was high. Today in 4.5 hrs I had 5 fish up. None in the net, but one swiped twice on the way in, then went round and round the 8, missing about 6 times on the turns, finally it caught up and just nipped at the back hook, got stung and rocketed off. Thought for sure she was gonna be in the net, but oh well, theres always tomorrow. I was fishing a wabull with a lot of pauses...3 of the fish came 15'from the boat when i paused, they rose up to take a look and darted off. have fun..new moon tomorrow!!

Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | Doing the same thing here in Michigan. 60 somthing today and 20's by monday night. Here is a piece of the marine forcast I watch. Check out those astonishingly low Barometer readings! .... LAKE ST CLAIR FORECAST...UPDATED NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETROIT/PONTIAC MI 1135 AM EST SUN NOV 23 2003 SYNOPSIS LOW PRESSURE OF 29.50 INCHES OVER EASTERN IOWA WILL DEEPEN TO 29.40 INCHES AS IT MOVES TO NORTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN THIS EVENING...AND FURTHER DEEPEN TO 29.00 INCHES AS IT MOVES TO JAMES BAY MONDAY EVENING. HIGH PRESSURE OF 30.20 INCHES WILL BUILD INTO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY MONDAY NIGHT...AND OFF THE MID ATLANTIC COAST BY WEDNESDAY. GALE WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 25 KNOTS. MOSTLY CLOUDY. WAVES 2 TO 3 FEET. (by the way, they lie! when they say 2-3 feet it means twice that. We were only supposed to have 1 footers the other day and we were rockin' and rollin' with 3 footers.) Any barometer watchers better get out there and fish. New moon today too! Should get some of you guys peeing your pants.

Posts: 688 Location: Northern IL | The 1st day after a 30 deg. temp. drop will not be the reason you have a tough day out but the bright sunshine will. If you can keep some over cast sky's till at least 10:00am you might get a couple, check all depths. Today we had temps that drop pretty good through out the day but with a good cloud cover I was able to land 3, good luck

Posts: 189 Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | First...thanks for the posts. Second....well, my first day after the drop was uneventful and fairly miserable. Only had 6-8 inch suckers, wind chill was 11, with 15-30 mph winds. It actually ended up dropping about 37 degrees in 24 hours....warms up slowly over the next few days...so we'll see what happens.
