| Going back to LOTW, end of the month for the first time since 2009. Went there for about 10 years in a row, but just now getting back. Staying at Duck Bay Lodge on Hay island.
Any thoughts on top lures now days? Im pretty limited as we are all flying into International Falls. Previously its been drop belly gliders, Top Raiders, Pearson Grinders, Reef Hawgs, Jack Pots.

Location: Badger State | What Mike Bolinski said plus add a few Bucher Slopmasters to throw into weeds and reeds where muskies like to hide. They work in open water too - a great spinner bait. The reason I said "a few" is they get eaten up by muskies and northerns so get some 6" Kalin rubber tails in green and/or white because you'll be replacing them a lot. Other spinners work well too, but Slopmasters get through with less weeds to clean off.

| Just got back from a week on Sab. My dad and I caught 19 with 47.5” being biggest. Lost 2 a little bigger. Caught 2 on Suick white with orange belly I think called night hawk. Black bird top raiders were good for locating fish and caught a couple small ones on them. We did best on a couple Spankys we got from team rhino before we left
A double 9 in bull head and double 8 and 9 in hot perch.

| Back up on Sab August 14 for a week. June was all spinners for us. One blew a Fat Bastard out of the water, but the fish were eating spinners. Mepps Musky Marabou and Mepps Tandem Musky Killers. Copper/Red Musky Marabou landed a personal best 50.5" for me. White/Black-White Tandem Musky Killer took a 40" Tiger as well. Chart/Black-Chart, Silver/Purple and Silver/Black-White were the other top colors. Just remember, no need to go BIG baits during the summer for big fish. |
