| If given the choice of the following two for jerk baits, glide baits and walk the dog style top waters, would you choose a 6.3:1 with 28 inches per turn or a 7.1:1 with 32 inches per turn? |

| 32" per crank is what I would use. Personally 28" sounds too slow for how I like to fish the baits you mentioned. |

| Mallard, as I give it more thought, I'm thinking the 32" would be a better choice also due to the amount of slack line that occurs while fishing these types of baits. |

| yes the faster for sure...I use 40IPT on most of my baits that give slack line to pic it up fast!! can always reel slower can only reel so fast |

Location: oswego, il | Conventional wisdom would say the faster reel picks up the line faster which is what you want. I like using my TE reels with a slow retrieve. The mental cadence allows for a longer pause. I think that is key.

| Use ur high speed reel in warmer water, ur slower geared reel in cold water. kdawg |
