Location: Black Creek, WI | The deck lid to my battery compartment cracked in half. Got a quote to repair locally for $400. I'm assuming Ranger could replace for less, however I'm wondering if I can repair myself. Is it possible to reinforce from underside? Looking for ideas. |

| I would think you can cut a piece of plywood and mount it underneath to sturdy it up. Is this a lid people will stand on and cast? If so I think I would opt for a new one. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If it's fiberglass, sand the entire area to rough, clean with acetone, and wet the surface with catalyzed resin. Wet out a stip of mat, and lay that over it. Allow to cure, then wet it down again, place a piece if 3/8" plywood you have wetted out on all surfaces that's a few inches wider than the break, make sure it's flat to the surface, and lay a couple layers of 4" or so wide mat over the seams all the way around. Let it kick and it should be stronger than the lid ever was. |

Location: Black Creek, WI | Yah, I called Ranger and ordered a replacement. Takes 6-8 weeks for delivery so still repaired my broken lid to get me buy the remainder of the season. Also got quotes on all the other lids (very reasonable prices in my opinion). They lost the mold to the front left storage compartment so there is no replacement available. Thus, for that one I will be looking at adding some reinforcement as a proactive measure. |
