| I didn't fish the Hodag but had a couple of phone calls last night from some buddies that did. Turns out that Phil Schweik and Pete Hillman were hot again. Yes they won another one. They won the Hodag in 1999 and again this year. These guys are good in tournaments! I believe they caugth 4 fish. I don't have any report on the Pro-Am. God bless.

Location: Rhinelander, WI | All I know is, Norm and I were lucky enough or should I say un-lucky enough to watch Pete&Phil catch there first fish Sunday morning. They weren’t discreet about it and we could here the excitement from 200 yards away. If I heard them right last night it was there biggest, a 43½ caught on a 10” Suick, shallow.
What really sucks is Norm and I spent the entire weekend doing pretty much the same thing and only saw one fish Saturday, though Sunday it did get better we lost one that hit at the side of the boat and had one other strike that bent the leader. And Norm had on what could have been a $100 pike, but it just didn’t make it in the net.
Norm summed it up best after we saw Pete & Phil come back after registering there fish. “We know what they’re doing, I would just like to know one thing…..Where do they have the horse-shoe hidden.”

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I tip my hat to Pete and Phil. It did little to boost my confidence seeing there rig already trailered at Lakeview and them with refreshments in hand after a second double in the tourney. There on an awesome run, but if that horseshoe ever falls out, I want to be in the vicinity to scoop it up. |

| I was in the Hodag tourney and did not win a dang thang. My partner and I each had action, even boated undersized fish, but nothing for the scoring board. But it was fun and very educational and I tip my new cool $125 hat to those who prevailed. |
