| Good afternoon.
I have a 15 year old Skeeter and I noticed this last weekend that the screws holding the battery boxes and on-board charger are starting to pull out. I am guessing that if I put in bigger screws they will pull out again over the course of time.
Anybody have the same issue and have found a long term remedy?
Thanks Keith |

| Take some toothpicks and put them in the hole with a little quick set epoxy resin. Don’t fill the entire hole just a couple two or three pieces of toothpicks is all you need. Cut them off flush with the floor and let them set. Use the same screw then remount. The screw will bite into the new wood and you will be good to go. |

I did this with a door hinge in my house that kept loosening up a year ago. Except I used wood glue on the wood door. Still holding firm a year later! |

It hasn't been long term yet, but I had some screws pulling out of the fiberglass where my compartment lids attach. I found a marine fiberglass/epoxy product that you mix together that seems to have solved the problem. Mix it up, stuff it in the hole, coat the threads, and then put it all back together. I gave it a few days and gave each screw another half turn or so once the fiberglass dried. Seems to be holding up... |
