| Is it worth it to fish during turnover or better to take a little time off and not go as much? |

| It depends on what you got going in options,,Vegas,,Paris,,crab leg buffet,,or raking the leaves,,,,
If it's confirmed turnover combined with this recent heat to stop water temps falling I'm not dealing with a tough bite AND turnover mixing water,,but mixing Alabama Slamers!!!

| Depends on how far ya gotta travel to fish and how many options there are. If they are different in depth, water clarity and exposure they'll most likely flip at different times. |

Find a lake that is minimally affected by turnover or not at all. If you cannot, fish shallow.

| I only fish one lake and it's a 50 minute drive and go like 4 times a week. The next closest is like an hour and 45 min. Maybe I'll find out if that ones not turning yet and give it a shot on my day off. |

Location: Shoreview, MN | If my choice was to fish or not to fish I'd still go fishing even during turnover. Depending upon the lake, turnover usually happens in stages and doesn't affect the whole lake at once. I guess if I know if one lake is for sure turning and another isn't I'll choose the one that isn't, but otherwise I don't worry about it too much. Getting on the water is still great and I've caught some nice fish during turnover. If I think the lake I'm on is turning I'll run and gun for a while looking for areas with clearer water - which usually means inside edges transitioning to sand , or channels between sections of a lake. It's been hard for me to pattern fish during turnover so I just cover water hoping to find an active one, and sometimes I do.
