Location: FIB land | Any reccomendations for a new sonar / gps ? Best bang for the buck. Can I get one for 800 or less that has a large enough screen for a half blind old coot ? |

| I have hds7 and hds9 at the helm and a hook9 at the bow. The hook 9 does most of what the hds does except hook up in a series. So I would say hook9. I think I got it for under $500 brand new on ebay.

Location: Waukee, IA | If you don't need side imaging you should be able to get a Humminbird helix 9 for less than $700 with regular sonar and GPS. I run the helix 7 and really like it |

| Get a bird and a lakemaster chip. It's like pitching a tent at church, you can't beat it! |
