Location: Hayward, Wisconsin | The MDMWRP is sad to announce the loss of Committee Member Jim Bunch. He will be missed by us and everyone at Muskie's, Inc., where he took care of the "Lunge Log" for many, many years.
RIP Jimmy! |

Location: oswego, il | He did a pretty thankless job very well for a very long time. Well before it became electronic. His contribution was huge. He will be missed. |

| Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing; he was a nice guy, even though he told me several times I took the worst pictures. Rest in peace. |

Location: Green Bay, WI | Just saw this thread now--been working on a construction project this summer, and not spending much time online. I only talked to Jim once or twice at MI National events, but he was very nice to me and I enjoyed our conversations. Sad to hear about his passing. RIP Mr. Bunch, thank you for your contribution to MI...and to the sport in general. Recording keeping is VERY important, and Jim's work to document catches over the years has made a tremendous difference in more ways than the average person realizes. I recall using it frequently while working on the 54" size resolution for Green Bay back in 2007/2008, and it gave me great confidence in terms of reporting size trends in angled muskies.
It's a sad but very real part of life, but none of us is getting out of this alive. And like Dr. Bruce Samson (Doctor Sonar) always says... "The clock is ticking."
