Location: Oshawa, Ontario | I use an Abu 5600 C4, high speed, 6.3:1 for cranks and bucktails. I use Abu's exclusively, mostly 6500C3s (I throw mostly jerkbaits, gliders, etc.) and find them to be bullet proof. If they ever need service (mine haven't, touch wood!!) I have heard Abu's service department and warranty centre's are fast, efficient and very customer friendly.
I hope this helps. |

| I have the Pete Mania PQ300M reel from Bass Pro w/ the 4 2:1 ratio that cranks the bigger baits in pretty much effortlessly; a tad on the slow side but it will crank for sure...priced reasonably also. |

Location: IL | pq300m or my bm50 both are great for big cranks. I even use some old Garcia 6000c reals with the 3-8:1 gears. |

Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | I use the standard Abu 6500 C3 for baby DR's and Triple D's, baits that i twitch..twitch..rip..pop...reel.
For bigger cranks and more cranking/less twitching I use the Abu C4 Winch (5500??), reels in the biggest hardest pulling deepest running baits like butter!! The only thing I don't like about the C4 Winch is the thumb bar, prefer the button top, but oh well I live with it. |
