| I am looking at possibly buying an Alumacraft Voyageur 175 CS and am looking for any feedback from those who own/fish out of this model Alumacraft. Thank you. |

Location: Des Plaines, IL | I apologize if you are definitely looking at the Alumacraft here, but I just bought a new boat this winter and the Voyageur 175 was one that I looked at but ended up going a different direction.
After spending the entire month of January trying to find a 17' or longer boat that would fit in the garage (all single doors, unfortunately), we landed on the Crestliner Vision 1700. While mine does have the full windshield (for comfort of wife who is my primary fishing buddy), it's got a nice amount of space. I appreciated that, while not locking, it had a neat place to store up to 9'6" rods on the port side. Both her and I prefer to keep the boat uncluttered, so that was a really nice thing to have for transportation and organization.
Another thing we like is the depth of the Crestliner, definitely a nice thing for fishing with those who aren't as comfortable on the water, which we take family that aren't swimmers.
Overall the Voyageur and the Vision were the two boats we were between, but we went with the Vision for the reasons I outlined above along with having a tremendous experience with our local Crestliner dealer. Even though the Vision didn't have the back bench as an option, we worked it out with them and now have it on ours.
Just thought I'd give you one perspective as I was in a similar situation.

| I think the tiller model looks like a great rig, that would still fit in my garage too. Never seen one in action though. |

| I just purchased the tiller model this year, I have had it out a few times and I like it a lot. For me it was the perfect boat that I could fish a variety of different species/types of fishing, and that would fit in my garage. The front deck is nice for casting...recently had it out with three guys musky fishing and there was plenty of room. So far I have no complaints. |

| Thanks guys. I can see how the tiller would be a great fishing setup. The SC seems like it's set up well for what Im looking for but there are pros (and cons) of a full windshield, too. Having a hard time deciding. |
