Location: Detroit River | I use a Diawa Luna & a Revo Toro. I have a Okuma Komodo that I might start using this year since it has more line pickup. Most import thing in a Jigging reel IMO is to have one that has double anti-reverse. I blew out the anti-reverse on a Abu C4 my third time out when I first start jigging Bondys.

| For jigging look for a reel that has good line pick up. When jigging bondys you can often get hit when you are in the worst position to get a good hook set. Look for a reel that is going to give you at least 30" per crank and a solid drag.
I reel lefty and have jigged using the following.
Lexa 400 6.3 ratio 33.4" per crank
Avet SX raptor on 6.3 high speed setting 39" per crank
Avet also makes an SX single speed with 5.3 ratio that get 30"
If your keeping you bait in the water for long drifts the avets are great, if your doing a lot of flipping and ripping then the Lexa gets my vote.

| Check the schematic for your reel to see if it has a anti reverse pawl to the ratchet gear. If the reel only has a ARB it wil not stand up. |
