Got an Okuma telescoping 8'6" that has an eye missing the ceramic insert, which causes instant fraying of the line. Is there an easy fix for this?

Replace the entire guide.... doesn't take long if you how to wrap a new one on, or know someone who can do it.

just take the guide complete off. unwrap the thread and put electrical tape on the rough spot, if there is one. if you cant get the thread off, just pull the guide out and put electrical tape over the old wrap.
super glue doesnt hold the insert in very long. maybe two part epoxy would though. if you want all your guides on there, just have a new one put on. I have replaced guides with new guides using 6 or 8 pound braided line and superglue all around the line wrap.

I just bought a new insert and super glued it in. It's still there and working fine.
