| I am looking to buy a new aluminum this spring and want to know what is out there and what people like for muskies. I have a few friends who have alumicrafts and they seem like good boats. What else is similar or better as far as features and what are the costs? I would like to set it up with a new merc 4 stroke, 50 horse or so. Is it possible to do this under $10,000 fully loaded?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The 4 stroke will run youbetween $5300 and $5600 depending on whether it is a tiller or console model boat. The rtrailer will be about $900 if the rig is going to be a 16' model. You may have to set your sights a bit lower with the engine to hit the 10K mark. Check Crestliner, Lowe, and G3. |

Location: oswego, il | I don't think you are going to find the boat you want for 10K. 12-13 would be more like it. I like to alumacraft navigator, would be in your price range, so would the crestliner 1650. The lund 1650 would fit that and G3 makes a good boat too. These boats have good wide bottoms and good floor plans, the best of the model groups. |
