Here are some photos of my new shad jigging bait. The bait is 10" long and 12oz. The bait works great when dropped on a tight line but...when dropped on a slack line it will dip/dive and flutter, mimicking a dying shad.

That is correct. It is an actual molded gizzard shad the I re shaped to perform the needed jigging action. The video above shows the original prototype bait that has went through a few changes and alterations. The bait is now molded from a high strength urethane so it is virtually indestructible when it comes to wear and tear from smashing into rocks and being chewed on. After 8 fish on one bait there was not a single tooth mark or tear on the bait.
